Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains what happens to your data when you disconnect a connected account from Ottohand, and how to request broader deletion of your information.

1. Social account connections

When a business using Ottohand connects a Facebook or Instagram account, we store the access token that connection grants us, encrypted at rest, so Otto can draft and publish posts on that business’s behalf. We don’t store anything else from those platforms — no posts, followers, messages, or other account content.

Disconnecting a platform deletes its stored token immediately.From the business’s Social settings, disconnecting a platform clears that connection’s access token, refresh token, and account details from our database right away — not on a delay, and not just marked inactive.

Automatic removal when you revoke access from Facebook or Instagram directly.If you remove Ottohand’s access from your Facebook or Instagram “Apps and Websites” settings, or submit a data deletion request there, Meta notifies us automatically and we remove the connection and its stored tokens right away — you don’t need to also disconnect it from Ottohand or contact us. Meta gives you a link and confirmation code so you can check the status of that request at any time.

Google Business Profile connection support is planned but not yet available; this section will be updated when it goes live.

2. Deleting your business account (Tenants)

If you’d like to close your Ottohand account and have your business data deleted — your account information, website content, and customer/contact records — email us at jguzik@ottohand.comwith your business name or account email. We’ll confirm your request and complete it within 30 days, except for information we’re required to retain for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.

3. Requesting deletion as an end customer

If you’re a customer of a business that uses Ottohand (for example, you booked an appointment or sent a message through their site), the business itself controls that data. You can contact them directly, or contact us at jguzik@ottohand.comwith details of what you’d like removed, and we’ll assist or route your request accordingly. 5. Changes to this page

We may update these instructions from time to time. We’ll update the effective date above when we do.
