Ottohand started because running a small service business shouldn’t mean stitching together five or ten different tools just to keep track of the people who keep you in business.

The problem

Most small business software makes you choose: a CRM that doesn’t touch your website, a website builder that doesn’t know who your customers are, and a pile of other subscriptions in between — a scheduler, a review tool, an email platform — each one its own login, its own bill, its own thing to keep up with.

Otto and your website live in the same place, because they were built to. Your site captures a lead, Otto already knows about it. A customer books, it’s on your calendar and in their record. Nothing has to be copied, exported, or reconciled between tools that were never designed to talk to each other.

How we think about it

Ottohand is built around one idea: an owner should be able to see everything that’s happening in their business — and everything Otto is suggesting — in one place, drafted and ready, never sent without a yes.

Otto drafts. You decide. That’s true for a reply to a review, a follow-up to a quiet customer, or a message to someone who just booked — every suggested action waits for your approval before it goes anywhere.

We’re starting with the businesses that keep their communities running: salons and beauty studios, gyms, HVAC and home services, landscaping crews, contractors, auto shops, daycares and tutoring, cleaning services, dance studios, photographers, and pet care businesses. If you don’t see your industry yet, our general setup adapts to how your business actually runs.
